Students will enjoy field trips to natural animal habitats and environments. They will also journal their experiences in a “field notebook,” gather data, take pictures, and create videos. In addition, students will record their feelings, reactions and experiences in a reflective journal. Dance, art, photography, video, and music will be used showcase the students’ experiences.
During the school district’s science fair, the students will make a presentation about their experiences. A guest speaker from the N.J. Division of Fish and Wildlife address the school community during an assembly of grades three, four, and five.
The goal is to create an after-school Environmental Science Club that elicits community financial support and involvement.
